OBS can’t stream/record any audio from Quicktime Movie recording

Hi guys,

I used Quicktime (movie recording mode without recording) for mirroring my mobile game for streaming, I can hear it normally from quicktime app but OBS seem not detecting any audio (shown just a picture). The audio drop-down list has just these 3 items “default, external microphone, macbookairmicrophone” The video capture from quicktime hasn’t got any audio. What should I do to fix this?

And I wonder which audio input sources including in ‘Default’ , all channels?

ps. I’ve already switched back between monitor off/ monitor output.. to check it. It still doesn’t work.

pss. Any recommendations to use desktop audio? (ishowu audio is not working on Bigsur right now)

I haven't used the same settings as you did.

While theoretically, you will need Loopback or Blackhole to route your audio. Or use an HDMI video capture card and an HDMI dongle.
