Making separate audio and video recordings

Hello!

Normally when recording my videos I record my microphone audio with Audacity and record desktop audio/video on OBS. The problem I face is that my computer doesn't work very well and it is not super powerful. Having Discord, Minecraft, Audacity, and OBS open all at the same time uses wayyyy too much processing power and my recordings end up having an FPS of 1 frame change every 5 or 10 minutes. This ultimately renders my multi-hour recordings useless. The reason I do the separate audio recordings are for situations such as a friend mumbling loudly in the background when I say something, in editing, I can mute the sound of them talking so it is just me saying what I need to say without interruption.

My question to you guys is this; how do I make it so that my microphone audio is a separate output recording from my desktop audio/video. As well, it works for me to swap the recordings for desktop audio/video in the same recording with Discord audio recorded as a secondary file.

I hope this isn't too much of a request or something that is outlandishly impossible. In the event that OBS cannot complete this task, does anyone have recommendations for how I can minimize the usage of my processing speed and still get some decent quality video?

Thank you!
-Alex
