I've been using OBS for about a year now, and I've had it on two different computers, an old laptop and a fairly good PC.
I am currently using a decency of a PC, and I have no problem gaming, but I can't record without it having about 15-25 FPS.
The only game I am able to play is ROBLOX, nothing else. I have tried Arma 2, Arma 3, Unturned, and Warthunder, but everything else is just really low frames.
My specs are listed below
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 3.40GHz (8 CPUs)
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
RAM: 12 GB
OS: 64-bit, x64-based processor
