I have an haupagge and it's not working

Have a problem with my webcam. Its fine as long as I stay in one scene but if I switch scenes I get a red area where my webcam should be. As I switch back to the mainscreen the webcam is fine again. But if I want to get the webcam on my 2nd scene I have to pull it out and in to my pc again but then it does not work on the main screen again.

Set the cam to a resolution of 352x288 now and my screen resolution is 1920x1080 originally but I have to scale it down to 1280x720 for streaming. Dont know what could be the problem.

I would recommend using your device as a global source. Using it in multiple scenes can really lag the stream down like that, though I suppose I just need to redesign device acquiring.

if your pseye isn't working, it's because of bad drivers. I'm fairly sure that there are some newer or better drivers out there for the pseye

Maybe roxio doesn't provide any directshow output? I don't know if my diagnostic program is at fault here or not, but usually when nothing appears on the diagnostic app, that means the creators of your capture card decided to take an incrediblly self-centered route and make their cards only usable by their proprietary programs, and deny access with other applications via directshow.

I get a red screen on the preview when trying to use a Roxio Gamecap HD Pro device.

Unfortunately it only shows the name and nothing else. Just "Roxio Game Capture HD Pro". There's not much I can do anymore, already returned the device to the store. Unfortunately I have bad luck with devices like these so the better choice was to return it and research for another one.

ran the program from the first page:
this is all i got::

i wonder if it has something to do with the DHCP thing - same reason you can't capture PS3 to the roxio via HDMI

i'd go the work-around of just selecting the preview region of the roxio program - but whenever i try to do that i get everything BUT the video preview - it just shows up black :/

Important: I use that device as microphone too, maybe this is the problem? ( i do it in other apps without problems)

Seems like there's no directshow drivers installed. You make sure all the drivers were installed and everything? Avermedia is usually really good about that sort of stuff.
 
I am also using a Happauge HDPVR and getting the red screen. Would love to see a fix for this as some games I want to stream are coming out real soon 8D

I also own the avermedia usb device. got mine a couple years back and tried to use it directly as a camera source with xsplit and it didnt work. When i asked them if they had any plans to support the device they said no because its hardware wasnt friendly.
Their newer stuff though seems to be very friendly when it comes to this kind of stuff. But with this older device it seems screen capping was always the route you had to go.
So i kinda expected to get a red screen or something like the user above did with this device.

Dont work if i dont put manually a custom resolution (640x480@75fps, the default one for this cam), but if I do that i got that red box.

Important: I use that device as microphone too, maybe this is the problem? ( i do it in other apps without problems)

Any solution? Thx in advance.

For that case, it's the drivers. The homebrew PS3Eye drivers are just not setting the properresolution data.

There are better drivers out there supposedly because I know people who have it working.
