Question / Help Disconnecting randomly while using OBS

This is the most bizarre thing I've ever heard.. This HAS to be a centralized issue with Charter Comm., there is no way in hell that all of us with Charter have literally the same issue. The most stupid part of it, I still am connected to the internet, for ex: mid-match on any of my games, it drops out of nowhere - closing my stream by "Disconnected by server," and I'm able to continue in that match and literally only drops my stream? My question now is.. which appears to be the same as y'all.. wtf do we do? I have already had Charter come out 3 times and they charged me twice for it for something that appears to be on their end.

Also Jeremy, I too signed up for the 60 down and 5 up and then I was told they moved it to 4 up and only get 5 if you get the 100 down. .... Not to get side-tracked but, any other options for ISP that could provide a service sufficient for streaming? I don't think I have much choice out in Oregon, to be honest. :\

Not only that, I have had this issue since I was about to get partnered, almost 4k followers, 100k hits, I had the numbers but when I applied - this shit started happening. Literally thought I was a lone ranger having this issue. I know it sounds bad, but I'm glad it's not just me; I hope all of us can find the miracle for us.

I hear you on becoming partnered. I was on my way I felt my streams were going amazing almost to 4k followers.

I tried Xsplit it still happens as well. Sadly to say it came up out of no where when all this start happening. That's why in your thread I asked if you were on Charter, it's definitely them.

You are from wisconsin as well? Im from the Madison area and Jeremy is from up north. I am dumbfounded on why this is happening. How long has it been happening to you Bow?

Jeremy, are your RTT times still high or no?

Update -

Just got off chat with charter.com and now they're going to send a "Supervisor Technician" out.

Apparently their is normal techs then "supervisor techs" with more knowledge. The lady did notice in my internal tests of modem that their is indeed drops when I try to stream. He will be coming out to further look and see if the issue is perhaps here. (I don't believe it is)

When is he coming out? Hopefully that fixes the problem.

Update -

Charter guy just left, same guy as before assuming not the supervisor but he changed the fittings on all the ends of the cable lines and I'm still getting around 140 RTT times. Haven't tried streaming yet but I'm for sure going to say it's not going to work. There is nothing further they can do about this, which leads me to believe that I am fucked on streaming.

New Update - Streamed for 2 in half hours longest I was ever able to and then it disconnected. Makes no sense.

Update - 3

---- Contacted Charter via chat again and was just informing them the problem still is happening. She told me that they have a schedule appointment tomorrow that is all day to check lines and replace lines from the main outside of the apartment complex. I don't have to be home as this is outside work only.

When the guy left he said he would E-mail his supervisor to see if their is anything else they can do if he sees anything. They apparently must of seen something and are coming tomorrow sometime to check/fix lines.

I hope this works.....

A line tech apparently came out today but problem still happens.

This is getting to be a fucking joke and I'm ready to cancel if I can't stream granted I wont have Internet unless I go through cheap ass DSL in my area but at this moment whats the since paying 70 a month for something you can use correctly.

Man i don't know what to tell yah. Im to that point too where I am about to cancel my internet and get something new just to try it and hey, if it doesn't work, oh well. Ill still have my internet. When you went to your friends and tried it, how long were you able to stream for without a disconnect?

Btw, i love how he says upload doesn't affect streaming. Clearly he doesn't know the situation.

I'm so bugged out by this it's ridiculous.

I just want to be able to stream, I'm actually half tempted to cut my lease and go move just to be able to stream since my old house was fine.

Actually come to think about it. When I moved into this apartment the first week was perfect after that it escalated.

Been streaming all day long today after i installed my gtx 980ti and have still been having constant server disconnects from OBS. Causing me to lag for a second ingame before stopping and it showing up saying "disconnected by server"

No kidding, I had a guy come out four times now to no avail.

I guess my only option is to move out of this apartment since I can't fucking stream. It's irritating as all hell.
