Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

Hmm I noticed, the files in your OBS folder are pretty outdated, so that is definitely not version v0.591b.
You might wanna remove OBS completely, make sure any folder under both Programfiles and Programfiles(x86) are gone, then install the current version and extract the plugin just as you did.
You can also start the OBS.exe directly in the folder you showed and check if its the correct version or if the plugin shows up then. In this case your shortcut just starts a OBS installation in a different folder :)

Ah. Well I was just going off of this.

I'll reinstall, hopefully that will fix it.

Edit: I cannot believe I didn't think to do this before, but it worked. This is coming from a guy who works in tech support and tells people to reboot every day. Thanks ._.

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

Greetings, I have been testing out the 64bit version now that OBS 64 updates got it working on my PC.

I must say I love this little add on... me and my hubby use it to share our game play, I have his Twitch mini windowed and he does the same with mine.

Please Please add volume/sound control, only thing we find to be the issue at this time is the sound feeding back though the stream due to the way OBS captures sound from the speakers.

but then who knows maybe i just need to tweak my OBS sound settings and such. if anyone knows if this is the case please feel free to drop me a message.

Keep up the Excellent job!!

Look forward to seeing the progress.

Ok, Not sure what im missing. I have put the CLRBrowser folder and .dll inside the CRLHost folder and the source still isnt showing up inside of OBS. I have installed other plugins without an issue not sure whats going on.

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

OK, so I have installed both 32 and 64 bit versions of the plugin (latest versions //..plugin3 and ..plugin64mark2 respectively) as well as uninstalled and re-installed OBS (latest version 0.592b) when loading a .SWF (browser runtime singleprocess=true) in 32bit i get empty square in 64bit it says "failed to load plugin" when loading a website (http://www.blizzard.com) the header being flash works fine, but when loading any stream channel from twitch, both the stream itself and the chat refuse to load (in 32 bit just a black box where the video would be and chat forever attempts to load) (in 64bit the video box says "you need flash player to view this, download flashplayer")

The 64bit crash is already known and i am ok with that but the failure to load flash only from certain sites and .swf's is confusing me because I am also using the most up-to-date .NET framework 4.5.1 as well as the latest chrome 31.0.1650.63 m.

My ignorance usually amuses me, but in this case I am frustrated XD any assistance would be awesome!

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

For the 64bit version you may simply not have the 64bit flash installed.

I'm not sure what combination of software leads to it being installed but check C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

You should see NPSWF64blahblahblah

As for loading the flash, I'm not sure where I left this project and will probably release a new version targetting the latest CEF runtimes.

Some other people might have ideas for getting SWF to work (instead of using wrapping you specify an html file that loads the swf, etc.)

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

I will have to check on the internal flash install..

As for the SWF I have found a ghetto work around by opening the SWF in a browser window then window capture with color key for transparency (a bit HW taxing for some to keep all SWF's running) but it accomplishes the same task the plugin is supposed to. XD

Good times!

UPDATE: Verified...The chrome integrated flashplayer is not sufficient to show the stream, but once the stand alone system player is installed the video shows as advertised (chat still eternally in loading but hey lesser of 2 evils)

UPDATE 2: Also the stand alone flash player fixes the SWF failure to load as well! Thank You for the advice Faruton!

I'm having the same problem as him, I reinstalled OBS with the binaries and it still isn't working. However, the 64 bit shows up and functions properly just not the 32bit (whereas before the reinstallation, neither showed up or worked).

edit: i was afraid of losing all my scenes, but after removing and reinstalling my OBS, the scenes and profile remained in tact.. perhaps this has something to do with it? O.o

Ouch. That sucks about the kappchat.twitchapps!
I used it all the time.

Anyone know any alternatives? Any idea why it was dropped?

Project has been discontinued, for various reasons.

Thanks for your support.

This is a huge letdown. It worked so well, being able to show chat properly and clearly with the use of the CLR Browser. :(

Until there's something that can replace it (or until the CLR Browser can actually display Twitch.TV chat), it looks like it's back to showing text output from mIRC and stuff. xd

I whipped something up tonight for people to use:
http://nightdev.com/hosted/obschat/?channel=night

Usercolors, emotes, tags, timeouts, and subscriptions should all work.. There may be some server-side stability issues, but you should reconnect anyways. Let me know if you find any bugs or have any suggestions. You can edit the font style with CSS as necessary.
I'm not quite sure I understand. Are you supposed to edit the CSS within the CLR Browser to affect the displayed twitch chat? I was able to download the source and edit the CSS from the link and edit the font colors as I wished but when locally hosting the page the mod icons/turbo icons dont show up. Are we supposed to be editing the CSS some other way? Through the CLR Browser plugin in the CSS page? Didn't have much luck with affecting the color of the fonts that way.

edit: the chat also seems to jump multiple lines after someone types a message that wraps multiple lines then goes back to jumping 1 line. kinda wonky in that regard, dunno if thats a known bug or anything.

Hello Faruton !

First of all, thanks for this awesome plugin :)

I have a problem with the css attribute -webkit-backface-visibility:hidden; which simply doesnt work :(

In the dll information I can see that you use a build v 3.1547.1412 of CEF.
In the test app (v 3.1547.1412) from http://cefbuilds.com/, -webkit-backface-visibility works fine.
I don't know exactly which build you're using, but I guess it's not the one from http://cefbuilds.com/ (not the same size).

Maybe an update of CEF can fix this bug ?

(test page : http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/tryit.a ... visibility)

Thanks in advance :)

Is there any way to disable flash from loading, preferably in the form of setting in the "Advanced" tab?

When modifying CSS and whatever you're modifying is being stubborn and not accepting you changes, simply add a "!important" to the end of the attribute's properties, like so:
Code:
.stubbornclass{
    margin-top: 10px !important;
}

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

I am busy creating my own donation notifier, but the sounds don't seem to work with the CLR Browser plugin. They work fine in Chrome, but can't get them to work properly.

I am using this plugin to play the sound: http://ionden.com/a/plugins/ion.sound/en.html
I am using OBS version 0.592b
and the latest version of the CLR Browser Source plugin.

Is there something I have to enable or disable to get it to work?

Use the old "Browser Source" version here: http://catchexception.org/downloads/bro ... rce-plugin

I reported earlier that HTML5 video doesn't work, and neither does audio. It's probable this JS plugin thinks that the browser can play the sound, but it can't. Faruton never responded, so I guess just use the old buggy version of the Awesomium-based plugin instead.

Sorry.

Due to licensing restraints you need to replace ffmpegsumo with the one found in your Chrome installation

This will enable both x264 and most audio codecs

Re: CLR Browser Source Plugin (New 64bit version, needs test

I tried the new version and the old version of this but cant get it to work. I downloaded it and unzipped. Then opened the first folder to copy the CLRhostPlugin folder and the CLRHostPlugin.dll into obs/plugins folder. I opened OBS and it wasnt listed as a plugin. So i went through CLRHostPlugin and clicked on CLRBrowserSourcePipe which gave me this error: "The program cant start because msvcr100d.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

I went online and redownloaded the program which is supposed to contain "msvcr100d.dll" but got the error again. I have windows 7 64bit OS and am Trying to install the 64bit plugin. If you need any additional information just ask. My main objective is to install the "Stream Donation Alert" from nightdev. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

So I've gotten it to where it seems everything is installed correctly... The plugin shows up on the Plugins window for OBS, however when I go to add a new source, the CLR option does not come up.. Am I even doing this correctly, or am I supposed to go somewhere else to add it?

If you match the arch version (32 or 64 bit) of OBS and plugin, should show up in the add source menu option. Just be sure that if you installed the 64 bit version, you are actually launching that one (I believe the shortcut in the desktop links to the 32 one)
