Can you set it up in the next update where you can add a Caption Source for OBS?

Looks cool, but I have quick question.

As I understand then the plugin is using https://cloud.google.com/speech-to-text/ , but that looks to be a paid service so how is it possible to use without user providing some kind of credentials?

I came here to comment the same exact thing. Is RatWithACompiler just footing the bill for everyone? Surely not...

Is it possible to use this auto-generated speech-to-text feature to assign specific words to hot keys (commands). I’d love to be able to use this plugin to get an autogenerated profanity filter or use my voice to change scenes.

I am hoping this plugin that utilizes a speech-to-text API could one day be used to identify cursing on a delay and mute the audio for a set duration while playing some sort of sound effect, effectively censoring the speech automatically. I know that the plug-in wouldn't be perfect and I know nothing about plugin dev, but I know many streamers could use such filters. I don't even know if this is necessarily possible, but what do ya'll think?

I'm having difficulties with the plugin. I can get my captions to display in a textbox source in OBS. I have it displaying three lines. The issue is, as I speak every line above the current line shifts around as I speak making it impossible to follow. How can I make it so that once a line moves up, it remains unaltered?

Does anyone know if this supports OBS's filename formatting? I want my transcripts to be in the same folder as my recordings (%CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm)

I'll have to test this out with Czech language. We use Latin script as well, though there are some accented characters that might cause an issue. Won't know however before I test it out. I guess I'll try it out in Thursday, when I might have a stream in the evening. Or simply the next nearest stream. I won't leave a negative review if it doesn't work, I'll just leave a prompt to get it fixed. After all, English is the capital language of the internet, not Czech.

Hello,

The plugin doesn't work anymore with the last version of OBS (30.1), but works with the previous version (30.0).
It always works inside OBS, but there are no captions displayed on Twitch.

I hope this will be fixed soon, but it has been at least a month since the last version is released, and nobody seem to have reported the issue. Am I the only one with this problem ?

Amazing plugin so far. Would love to see support for replay buffer that way manually subtitling doesn't have to be done in post production.

Hi, I used this plug-in yesterday during my stream but no caption appeared on Twitch. I checked my VOD today and there's no caption either.

Yet, everything is OK on my OBS. The plug-in recognizes my mic and the dock shows the transcript. Note that I use the Firefox browser.

What's wrong according to you?

So i use a VPN, and whenever I have the VPN on the CC does not work. But my husband has everything set, so if the VPN is off, we cannot use internet or anything that requires internet. Is there a way for my to make it so this can bypass the VPN being on, or add it to safe apps on the VPN?

I Use Nord VPN, by the way
