Blurry/Lack of color in recordings.

So I've recently built this PC with the intent of recording. But I am having an issue with the recordings coming out as blurry and lacking color compared to what I see when playing the game. Now I understand that you do lose a bit of quality while recording but even the people with similar specifications on YouTube seem to be have much better quality. Build: RTX 3070, i9 9900k, 16GB RAM, blah blah blah.

EDIT: The smoothness is also effected by this issue. Everything looks like it's 30fps in recordings. However this issue goes away when I set the frame cap at 120fps.

Example: The recording of the game

What I actually see

Even after uploading to YouTube the issue still occurs and I have no idea how to fix this.

ahhhh i know exactly what this is

I had this exact problem, it has to do with video settings. You have a base resolution of 1920x1080 but an output of 1280x720, it would be a very good idea to put rescale output to the same as base resolution, which in your case, is 1920x1080.

You have the 3070 so it should have a good framerate, even with this change, if it has lag, set the cpu preset to superfast or ultrafast

if this didnt help please let me know.

It's already set to 1920x1080. Nothing is 1280x720 :(. I also tried both super fast and ultra fast when CPU encoding.

mmmm that says the log

12:49:19.792: base resolution: 1920x1080
12:49:19.792: output resolution: 1280x720

and see this
Hm I don't know why is says that but It's definitely not in 1280x720. I've also mismatched and set correctly for the color options (full and partial) still no fix with any combination and the recording also lags. And I realized I had posted the incorrect log file... here is my actual one https://obsproject.com/logs/c_AyzbtTt9uEH5yE

There's no session with that log file.
But with those particular settings, I'd suggest

• Setting YUV color range to Partial
• Don't run 2 Game Captures on the same scene
• Run OBS as Admin

Sadly none of this works the videos still come out as blurry and not clear. I've done everything I can do fix this issue. No one seems to know what's up either and I don't blame anyone. Note: I've had this issue with my last computer as well and I figured it was because of it being a laptop. The only thing this PC and my laptop have in common is the monitor and peripherals. Could the monitor somehow effect my recordings?

are your settings in settings -> output -> streaming
the same as settings -> output -> recording
the recording tab in settings -> output should be the same as the streaming tab in settings -> output

The recording, is that RAW or after you've uploaded it?
Have you tried
Output Type: Simple
Recording Quality: Indistinguishable or Loseless ?

This is the quality after I've uploaded and yes I've tried using simple with Lossless quality.

Sorry for not responding, I fell ill (Man flu) so haven't been around last 2 weeks.

After you've uploaded them to YT (I presume)? , right click on the video and click on "Stats for Nerds"
You'll want to look at the codec, my guess YT is using the AVC codec for your videos (as with everyone else, unless your video gets lots of views, likes, comments, activity etc)
If your video is popular then YT will automatically recompress with a VP9 which is better quality, go check out one of your popular Youtuber's and right click on one of their videos, no doubt you'll see it's using the VP9 codec.

Apart from getting the video popular,. there is another way to force YT to compress your video using VP9 and that's to upscale to 2k or 4k in your video editing software of choice and upload in that resolution.

So basically
Record in 1080p/60
Import video into editing software
Render as 2560x1440 or above.
Upload to YT, wait and you'll see it'll use the VP9 codec.
