Audio Echo Issues

I am just getting started with streaming and I'm having issues setting up OBS. Every time I try to start streaming, I get an audio echo and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it working right. Can I get some tips on how to get my audio and microphone working right?

My error when I first started was leaving the global Desktop Audio enabled, and adding a specific audio source (microphone)... hence duplicate signal. And then if you have microphone and speakers.... that's bad as OBS is doing its own sound cancellation like conferencing software does

So if you are using a microphone, don't use speakers but headphones (to avoid audio loop). And make sure you understand your audio sources
