Running RTX 2080Ti (24GB), with all up to date drivers (including CUDA).
I am trying to capture a 4320 x 4320 output into my Datapath VisionLC DP2 card for RECORDING (not streaming/gameplay).
I read that NVENC 264 only supports max of 4096 x 4096, and I've verified that in my tests. My 4096x4096...
Apparently there is a bug in current FFmpeg version that obs is using. Nvenc B-Frame Reference Mode doesn't work.
When it is enabled my recording starts and after 2 seconds drop's bitrate to zero. If i try to stop recording, UI button just freezes and i have to kill obs process.
Without this...
Hey Guys,
my new setup will include a rxt 2080ti and a i9900ks with 5Ghz
I heard with the new nvenc method on obs you can easily reach h.264 encoding medium quality
my question now is, could I handle a cpu encoding on fast? or should I use the new nvenc because its way less stressful for my...
Hi all,

So I've referred this resource which saying use 6000kbps for 720p 60fps streaming. On the other hand, I've read...
Whenever I go to start streaming or recording it says use the latest nvidia or AMD drivers. Before I updated to the latest driver this became an issue. Please help me I need it.

I've been reading the forums for the past two days trying to figure this out. I have updated all my drivers, uninstalled reinstalled obs, and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers yet I am still getting the error saying that output has failed. Can anyone help me out?
I've just installed O.B.S., and when attempting to record with NVENC (hardware encoder), I receive the following rather unfriendly message:
The most baffling thing is that when O.B.S. starts, it reports that NVENC has been detected:
I'm very inexperienced with O.B.S. and ffmpeg in general, so...
Hi All,
I started streaming again for the first time in a year yesterday and could not be bothered to set up my streaming PC so decided to have a crack at streaming on 1 PC and considering I was only streaming Path of Exile, my computer handled it fine and my chat said that stream quality was...
Hi,
I'm trying to get the best settings for quality with the New NVENC.
Even at 7000 bitrate / Max Quality preset, I still get some very noticable artifacts.
Here's my settings:
Am I hitting the limit of what New NVENC can offer? Or is there something I can tweak to have better image...
I have attached the log file. No matter what settings I change or what I do, I get this same error using Nvenc in OBS Studio.
I am running 64 bit OBS Studio, I have tried running it as administrator. I have run it with nothing else open and tried to record my desktop.
I have already...
Hello,
I'm having issues with recording using Nvenc encoder. While I used H.264 My poor performance while gaming is reflected in my recording. I was told Nvenc would help with performance and quality freeing resources from the CPU.
My game will run normally but the recording will be a choppy...
Does this seem normal or should the performance impact from running OBS be less.
My hardware isn't great but should be good enough, i5 4670k, 16GB RAM, GTX 960 4GB, running Ubuntu 18.04 and Nvidia driver 430.x (long lived branch).
I notice that if I open a game and turn off vsync so the fps...

I just downloaded the new version (24.0.1) and every time I try to start recording or streaming it says the same thing:

Hello everyone,
I have been using OBS to stream to Twitch for a little over a year now and am super happy with the software. I recently built a new computer that should have enough horsepower to run games smoothly while providing a high quality stream. Here is the quick summary of my system...
Whenever I record/stream using OBS Studio, there are some times when the output begins to stutter and drop to 30fps even though I am recording/streaming at 60fps. No matter what I do (ie. disabling Game Bar/Shadowplay, turning off AV, switching to x264 from NVENC, etc.) the issue remains. I've...
