Like many of you, I've been looking for new ways to make my streams more interactive. I had this idea for a timer that would get longer as more people followed, but I couldn't find a tool that did exactly what I wanted. So, I decided to build it myself, and now I'm excited to share it with all of you!
What is Follower-Fueled Timer?
It's a simple Node.js application that runs on your computer and creates a countdown timer that you can add to your live stream. The timer's duration increases every time you get a new follower on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. It's a fun way to engage with your audience and a great incentive for them to hit that follow button!

⚠️ Important Usage Notes
- Browser: For now, this tool works exclusively with Microsoft Edge.
- Browser Closing on Start: To work correctly, the application may need to close any running instances of Microsoft Edge upon startup.
- Recommended Edge Setting: To ensure your tabs are restored, please enable the "On startup" > "Open tabs from the previous session" option in your Microsoft Edge settings.
- Exiting the Application: To shut down the tool properly, go to the terminal window where it is running and press CTRL + C. This will gracefully close the automated browser and reopen a normal Edge window for you.

Requirements
- Node.js (LTS version recommended)
- Microsoft Edge browser installed on your computer.
Installation and Usage
- Download: Grab the project from the GitHub Releases page.
- Install: Extract the .zip file, open a terminal, navigate to the project folder (e.g., cd C:\Users\YourUser\Downloads\FollowerFueledTimer), and run the command npm install.
- Run: Start the application with npm start.
- Configure: The control panel will open automatically at `http://localhost:2137`. Use it to set up the platforms you want to track. Note: For web scraping to work, you must be logged into your YouTube, TikTok, and Meta Business Suite accounts in Microsoft Edge.
- Add to Stream: Add the widget URLs from the control panel as "Browser Sources" in your streaming software.
