I need a notification when my recording stops or pauses, be it because the HDD is full or I accidentally hit a hot key.
I just downloaded and installed the Advanced Scene Switcher (after installation, you will find it in the "Tools" menu)
configured the conditions: "recording stops" or "recording pauses"
and the action:execute an audio player with an "alert.wav" or something
... must still find a suiting audio clip; probably from some ring tone library.
I hope it will work.
I may be annoyed by the alert when I actually want to stop the recording, but that will probably be the only downside.
works like a charm. found an "old car honk.mp3" and put it in the switcher´s data directory
no audio player required; just enter the mp3´s location as an executable and the system will most probably play it.
Well, that´s not entirely true. An audio player is required, at least for MP3. WAV may play natively.
And, should you have multiple players installed, you may want to use one for notifications that you don´t use for music; otherwise your playlist might be erased. "<path to media player>" "<path to audio file>" (the quotes are required for paths containing blanks!) will do the trick.
