Videos constantly at a low quality no matter what settings I use

Title pretty much sums it up. My recordings always come out looking bad even if I record at a higher resolution or bitrate.

I am recording at the same resolution as my monitor so that is not the issue

Please include a logfile from a streaming or recording session. We really do need one to troubleshoot most issues, why it says to include one when opening a new thread in the Support section. There's a pinned thread at the top of the forum with instructions on how to do so. Screenshots will not help.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
