Re: Video source plugin (1.0-14-gaeb5079 2013/6/11)

I tested the latest build today and it didn't work.
VSP-1.0-14

The video just stops playing, but the audio continues. Tested both the 32 & 64 bit

Went back to VSP-1.0-12 which works fine.

System: Win7x64

I didn't have a chance to try VSP-1.0-13

Does this plugin re-encode a video file and stream it, or does it stream it as it was previously encoded?

AFAIK it only plays back the video, it doesn't use cpu cycles so it doesn't reencode

SWF files require the browser plugin, this plugin is for playing video files (and possibly a very small selection of non-interactive swf/flv files)

it is possible to add a function: "to play the video, go to the scene, and the scene selection"?

This would be a great option to have.

I actually would suggest to make it so you can re-arrange the playlist and not making it play from the beginning every time you do it

Re: Video source plugin (1.0-14-gaeb5079 2013/6/11)

Can you provide a little more information to what you are doing? Dragging a file in? Adding it with the ? button. What is the file's name? Is it any file? Have you tried files from different directories? Does it crash when you are previewing or as soon as you add it?

Re: Video source plugin (1.0-14-gaeb5079 2013/6/11)

Found out the issue.
What I was doing was adding in the File path AND the files directly to the playlist. Seems it cannot handle that. Once I would click OK at the bottom it would crash out. Really not sure why but was thinking you needed both.

Just using the Playlist it seems to be working fine now. Streamed 5, 2 minute files back-to-back, as well as a 40 minute one with no issues now.
Thank you for the response!

Looks good man. Only other tiny convenience you didn't highlight was you can drag (from explorer/desktop/etc) and drop media onto the playlist

Unfortunately no. What I have is

1920 x 1080 video that's 10 seconds long on a loop. when it reaches the end of the loop. it briefly flashes the layers under it for like 1/10th of a second, but it's obvious. Anything I could have setup wrong? I also got the latest update minutes before this post.

same problem... try it in both 64bits and 32 bits.

Obs 64 bits/32bits - 0.542b
Video Plugin: 1.0-17
Video in loop: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, no audio, 29 sec. long.

(sorry for my english, i'm french > written message by google translation)

This plugin would be perfect for me if it had an option for chroma key,
would it be possible to have a patch to add this option?

have you understand me?

Thanks. Seawave

Wouldn't it be easier to create a video with alpha like QuickTime + alpha or flv?

I'll think about adding chrome key shaders.. but just out of curiosity.. why wouldn't quicktime+alpha work?
