Question / Help Video Output Low On YouTube But Fine On Facebook

Hi there,

How's it possible that I have an upload speed of almost 30 Mbps and I can't get a YouTube live stream to work with OBS?

I've done numerous amounts of live streams on Facebook with zero issues and I recently decided to want to do them on YouTube as well..

Never got any settings to work! It starts green and couple seconds later, it goes red and says "Video Output Low"!

What am I doing wrong here?

Here is my latest log file:

https://obsproject.com/logs/h7g0E3BQN8xm5Wyq

Also attached the log file to this post.

Any pointers will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Billy

Your GPU and CPU are both being significantly overloaded.

Nothing to do with upstream bandwidth, you're just asking your computer to do more than it is able by a significant margin.

I would suggest running the Auto-Configuration Wizard from the Tools menu to see what settings it suggests.

If your encoder is overloaded at superfast you may need to go to veryfast, but before that I would lower your canvas resolution to 720p as that will also help with the rendering lag.

Ok will do to see how it comes out... Still fighting with it and won't quit!

Will reply the results back here.

Alright so I was able to survive a 10 min stream but the wizard recommended a 480p resolution and YouTube said that it was an unsupported resolution and that 720p is what is recommended... My system is THAT bad? Then the status went from bad to ok.

Here's the log file:

Will try with 720p instead to see how it goes...

On Facebook, I never have this issue!

Rendering lag and encoding lag aren't affected by which service you stream to. Likely when you were streaming to Facebook the settings or the content was different.
