Question / Help Video Encoding Fails

We are using OBS to stream video from a wildlife camera on JustinTv. Over 8-hr periods, OBS seems to be saving the small video files correctly to our hard drive.

However, over the last two weekends, OBS has appeared to stop and then restart recording at several points. There were no power outages. The streamed video appears to have been saved but not encoded properly. Our video players don't recognize the video files as mp4.

I've searched for the OBS log files, but have been unable to find them using the instructions above. Can anyone provide help?

Thanks!

Without seeing the logs it's impossible to know what happened. You should record in FLV as MP4 files can be easily corrupted if the recording process is interrupted in any way.

Thx R1CH, I'll try the FLV format. Any suggestions as to where to find the log files?

One more question. When I minimize OBS, I'm unable to get it back on my desktop and have to restart the computer. Any thoughts on how to correct this issue?
