Question / Help Using an audio source to appear across all scenes, seamlessly

Hoping you all could give me advise for a seemingly simple workflow that I haven't been able to test out yet:

I will be using the following software and hardware:
  • macOS Catalina version 10.15.2 on a MacBookPro 13" (2019)
  • OBS Studio version 24.0.6
  • Elgato CamLink 4K (that will be capturing the video and audio produced by my video camera)
My goal: I would like to create a few simple Scenes in OBS Studio, and use the audio that's coming from the Elgato CamLink 4K to be the only and consistent audio source track across all the Scenes that I create. In other words, I want to cut to various Scenes during my live streamed show, but keep the audio seamless and consistent throughout my stream without noticeable cuts in audio.

Is this possible without installing additional software? (Or, do I need to follow these (5 year old) instructions and install iShow: "How to capture desktop audio on Mac".)

Thanks!

Try adding the Elgato as an audio source in settings > Audio.

Then make sure that when you use the Elgato as a video source, you are not using its audio.
