Question / Help Unable to capture the same window twice on Linux with OBS 25.0.3

I'm trying to capture separate webcam feeds from a Discord session in order to position them in a scene, but I'm only able to capture the application window once. I've been able to do this on Windows 10 (OBS 25.0.1), but not on Pop!_OS 19.10.

I've tested this with an older 23.x.x version, the current 25.0.3 from the PPA, and the 25.0.3 snap package as well.

I've tried setting up separate captures and restarting the software, rebooting, etc, but still only one captures the window and the other is blank.

System info:

I've found the workaround for this using 'add existing' and resizing with Ctrl-E /alt-dragging edges. The downside of this, of course, is that these instances can't be individually named (like labeling specific Discord cam feeds) and any Filters applied to one are applied to all of the instances.

After you add the existing window capture create a group with it. Now apply your filters or transformations to the group so the original window capture is not affected
