Sudden OBS lag whilst streaming elgato HD60X

Recently started streaming just under 2 weeks ago and have used obs the whole time. at first i was using pxplay to locally broadcast my ps5 to obs but about a week ago started using an elgato HD60X. the first few days ran as smooth as it possibly could with absolutely no skipped frames or any sort of stream quality issues. fast forward to a few days, i began a midday stream and was live for around 2 hours no issue. then that same evening i loaded everything up as normal with the exact same setting and suddenly i began experiencing sort of lag issues and the message "encoder overloading". some people suggested that it may be that my laptop just isnt up to the task but that doesnt make sense to me as for the first week or so it was absolutely fine. Today i began streaming after some recommended settings tweaks and although the issue didnt get worse it did become more frequent. i'm not a very technical person so i've attached the logs for someone who can understand them. i'm absolutely lost so thanks in advance

You don't have things configured correctly...it looks like you are using a game capture source to capture Elgato.Studio.exe. You should remove that and be using a video capture device source to select the elgato directly...no elgato software should be involved when doing this only OBS.

thanks i've added it as video capture now, new to all this so assumed it would have to be game capture. i'm assuming that was the reason for the issue?
