Question / Help Stuttering Issues streaming 30/60 FPS

Hey all,

Ive been around different forum topics and I cant seem to find the solution for this issue. I´m trying to just stream some WoW but I get like 1-2 seconds of stuttering on my stream. I have only WoW, skype and OBS on at the same time, no other processes. I do not feel these stutters ingame they just show up on stream.

Here are my PC specs.
RAM 8GB
CPU 3.30 GHz i5-2500k
GPU AMD 5770

Been trying to stream in 30 fps and 60 fps same issues occur in both the FPS rates and it does not get worse at 60. Above you can see the current settings that I use right now.

I have a friend who have almost the exact specs and he has no issues at all with the stuttering which I find quite strange. I have 100/100 internet connection.

Set scene buffering to 700ms


Your PC is struggling a little at the start with 720@30 (2% duplicated) and 720@60 is duplicating even more frames (4-8%).
try enabling aero and using game capture instead,

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. I cant use GameCapture due to WoW Vanilla level 60 isnt counted in OBS as a game for some reason. I can only use windowcapture as it is right now for WoW. Gonna try to apply the changes right away.

you'll have to remove the window capture before you can make the game capture btw, try that, it should show up
 
Would love to use gamecapture but it does not list as a game when I want to add it as source. Any clue to that?
 
Hmm removed the window capture and made the game full screen just to try but no luck there. Hmm. Is it becuse it aint installed so it does not show up as a game?

so its a hacked copy? not sure how OBS would treat it then, honestly, not sure.

try setting it in windowed mode, making sure there are no other window captures then making the game capture and refreshing. OBS game capture will capture window or fullscreen and keep track of whether is switches between the two.

Gonna try to install it with its installer so maybe my PC recognizes it so it will enable Game Capture. Ill update as soon as Ive done it.
 
Game capture is there but the output is all back. The stream is live again if you want to see what Im doing. "feeling really stupid"

I normally would but I cant at the moment. when you get done streaming post your logfile.

BTW, how is it looking?
 
Cant get it to work. Tried with using my old Dxtory as a global source and then video capture which works but demands too much from the PC... Crap

Yeah I think that would be like double encoding or at least have a lot of overhead from dxtory.

Anyway, for some weird reason, you are stuck with window capture. Are you still having the stuttering issues?
