Hey guys! So basically I have 2 computers (Specs are below) and an Elgato Capture Card and I want to start streaming using OBS but I don't know if it is all compatible and even if the computers are capable of streaming together.
I want to see if the Elgato can stream one of the computers but through OBS instead of streaming through its official software.
The specs of the 2 computers are:
AMD 6350
8GB RAM
Nvidia 650ti

AMD 8350
16gbRAM
R9 280X

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure buying a capture card for a 2PC setup with that hardware would be worth the investment. Just use the 8350 for gaming and streaming, it should be up to the task.

Actually 8350 isnt going to handle very well new AAA titles on livestream. Depends on what games he is focusing. You can always stream with normal Elgato capture card (in worse case scenario by selecting region), although lately its recommended to get internal capture card. To be honest I dont see difference atleast for non-partnered streamer even on 3500 bitrate and fast preset. Capture card like PVR Rocket is providing 18000bitrate while other capture cards go even higher so you are not loosing anything on quality.

The first computer can't record and play without massive frame drop making the game unplayable so I didn't think the second one would be up to the task. I'm just not that into AMD but I got these computers for free so I rather use them.

CSGO is special story and here you are aiming for atleast 150-200fps minimum. It's not like other games where you can get out with 45fps. Hope you find solution although I'm here to say that on 8320 my friend is having like 150-250fps in 5v5 match, sometimes drops even on 100. All in all you can use any capture card, but internals are more easy to handle for stream.
