Question / Help Streaming on Twitch, issues

Hello all, and thank you in advance for your assistance - I recently started trying to stream LoL (league of legends) using OBS and twitch.tv - while in fullscreen mode on LoL, twitch displays a black screen where my broadcast is. While in windowed mode or bordered mode on LoL, twitch shows me my game, but the fps drops and the picture quality on the game is awful. My computer's performance should not be a concern here, as it is an extremely high-powered model. Can someone give me step-by-step on how to either fix the fullscreen mode black screen, or how to fix the quality on the bordered/windowed mode? Thank you so much!

You can't capture fullscreen games with Window or Monitor capture. You have to use Game Capture.

bordered and windowed modes are settings within LoL - i failed to mention that I was on game capture, but yes, I am on game capture.

According to that log, your game capture was trying to capture Chrome. Make sure you select the correct application.

You go in to the properties for the game capture source you're using and you select the window.

Perhaps you should just run the game in a borderless mode and use window capture or monitor capture, it might be a bit easier to use, the design of game capture sucks because you have to select the window and people seem to often have trouble with it, so just use window capture or monitor capture in this case, and run the game in a borderless/windowed mode.

for game capture with obs and LoL don't you also need to wait for the game to load since they have that stupid second window while out of a game?

Pretty much. I see this problem with league of legends more often than I'd like, it confuses a lot of people.

I have the same problem :(
But what is that "game capture" you are talking about?
when i put it on borderless inside LoL, the screen gets zoomed in, so it isnt the full screen which is shown

You could try to use a Hotkey instead of selecting the application itself (in Game Capture properties). When League finally loads up, hit the hotkey and it should hook it correctly. (I usually use NUM DEL for the hotkey). You just have to remember to actually press the hotkey every time.

Edit: Realized how old this thread is.
Nikolaj, I believe in Game Capture properties there is an option that says "Stretch Image to Screen". Should fix your problem.
