Question / Help Stream Setup

Alright so I've been trying to stream recently and have run into several small issues and google hasn't been able to help me fix them. As such I figured I'd try asking on here. First off, let me post my PC specs relevant to streaming...

AMD Phenom II x6 1090T 3.2 GHz processor
Kingston 1600 12gb of ram
EVGA GTX 780
30mb/s down, 5mb/s up

Now I understand my processor is probably my weakest link when it comes to the mentioned setup, that being said as I don't have means of upgrading it at the time I'll have to make due. Now the types of games I'm looking to stream are things like DoTa, League, DayZ, Hearthstone, ect. Now obviously some games will be more demanding than others, however that being said I'm looking to optimize my settings specific to my current pc build. As such youtube tutorials and blogs don't help me much here.

My current settings are as follows... (if its not mentioned then its likely default)

Encoder : x264 = Checked
Use CBR = Checked
Enable CBR Padding = Checked
Quality Balance = 8
Max Bitrate = 3372
Buffer Size = 3372
Codec = AAC
Bitrate = 128
Format = 48kHz
channel = stereo

Resolution = 1920x1080
Downscale = 1.5 (1280x720)
Filter = Bilnear (fastest)
FPS = 30
Disable Aero = Checked

Use Multithread Optimizations = Checked
Process Priority Class = Normal
x264 CPU Preset = veryfast
Encoding Profile = normal
Use CFR = Checked
Automatic low latency mode = Checked

Now those are my current settings, thus far I haven't had issues with frames dropping in any of my games though I do notice that my FPS drops on the OBS window at certain times in games. As such I'm assuming that is causing FPS issues on the stream as well and naturally I would prefer not to have that. I know that downscaling further to 480p would likely help some, but I am looking to avoid that if possible. If you have any suggestions regarding how to optimize this setup, please feel free to let me know.

That all aside, my second problem is with my headset. Just throwing this out there incase anyone has by chance run into a similar issue. I use the Sennheiser pc 360 g4me edition headset with a Sound blaster audigy se sound card, however my mic output is extremely low even at 100%. Its pretty hard for people to hear my voice clearly. That being said, there is an option to use mic boost, however it only has a +20DB option to check which causes a massive amount of static noise constantly. Anyone have a clue how to work around this and make myself sound louder while avoiding static issues? And yes I have tried turning mic boost up and lowering the volume, static is still there. I've tried reconnecting the sound card to the mobo to make sure there was no interference as well.

I'm curious why you disabled Aero, it's only necessary when you are using Monitor Capture which you should avoid as much as possible. For Games you should use Game Capture if possible. Regarding your Microphone issue, you can boost your Microphone in the OBS Audio Settings, just play a bit with it and see if that helps.
