Question / Help Static on top of any audio when streaming/previewing

Hi, I am currently having the same issue, I start previewing the stream or just making the stream live but then about after 30 seconds the audio cuts and is replaced with this static. It is on top of everything, Youtube, Itunes, etc. I am listening through a headset so that could be the case but I wanted to know if there was anything else you guys had that could fix this?
