Re: Service/Server ping plugin

Awesome :)

Is it normal that it only works in 86x version of OBS ?

And here's a suggestion : it would be so nice if it could display lowest to highest ping when we click on the "average" label =)

PS : what is jitter ? :)

Placed in my 32bit OBS dir.

"This will only work with the latest tip from git or the experimental build."

Jitter is the standard deviation of the pings for a particular server

It gives you and idea of how stable the ping is, small average deviations are better.

I'll add the min and max ping (and server ip, port) information as well, since it pretty trivial.

(And a 64bit version)

Cheers

Updated to fix your issue. (Should now work with .50)

Does this sound like a glitch? The plugin is reporting that my ping to the Twitch server, US West: Los Angeles, CA is ~190 (usually ~25) with a jitter of ~1200. When I look at the readings from JTVPing, it seems much more reasonable with a reading of 25ms ping and ~4ms jitter.

It's possible you just had a bad ping while using the plugin. I do nearly the same logic as JTVPing.

If you clear and let it run again does it show the expected times?

This plugin is pretty handy, but with the lastest version the 32 and 64 bit version keeps on crashing.

I place the right version in the right folder (i double checked it).

Woops. OBS has crashed.
Would you like to save crash report?

Not a problem :-)

There is a new release which fixed a leak among other things.
