So I wanted to record footages with a consistent 60 fps, but I've been getting issues on both my device's end and the recorder. I've tried everything by the book, or that I know of. None of them works. In fact, I've had a long forum discussion about this same issue from a post before that didn't fully solve the issue either. My device is a gaming laptop, ASUS TUF F15 is the model. The ram is upgraded to 16gb and gpu is RTX 3050 which is plenty good enough for the game I'm trying to record in which is Roblox.
OBS has to be in the same settings as the game's fps for the footage to appear smooth. Ideally it's 60 fps. The problem is, I have to cap the game's fps to that amount as well or else the recording would be laggy, and I also would have to set my monitor's refresh rate from 144hz to 60hz. Capping the game's fps and setting the refresh rate to a lower amount makes my laptop not perform well. I'm assuming it has to do with the gpu not utilizing as much under those settings. Roblox is also not that much of a resource intensive game, so that didn't help either. My laptop needed more than 60 fps for it to run smoothly which it can perfectly do with the fps uncapped. It can run Roblox at 200+ fps, but then it would cause issues with the recorder's settings at 60. I could just raise the fps for the recorder to be higher like 120 fps for example. It could do that and give me a better fps footage, but problem is I would have to edit it down to 60 again since YouTube only supports 60 fps videos. Lowering the 120 fps footages down to 60 made it look laggy again, like it's at 30 fps. If I upload it to YouTube anyways with the 120 fps raw footage, it shows that 30 fps lag as well.
I've test recorded many times with 60 fps settings. The gameplay while recording is really laggy when I look through the monitor, but the in-game fps counter says it's 60 the whole time. I look back at the footages and for the most part, they're smooth 60 fps. But at random I see frame drops down to 15-30, they last from a second to sometimes the entire footage. Once again, it happens randomly and unpredictably. Weirdly enough, the lag that happens while I record doesn't show up in the recorded footage and the lag that does show up is so random and could be inbetween while I'm lagging or not lagging during recording. I made sure it wasn't just my playback having issues so I would replay areas with the lag and it shows up everytime. I even uploaded the videos to YouTube just to make sure, same thing. These fps drops are so mysterious and I couldn't pinpoint exactly why it happens, but I think it has mostly to do with the fact that my laptop is underperforming due to the capped fps, 60hz refresh rate, and OBS slowing it down further more. With my in-game fps uncapped, it does around 200+ fps, with OBS opened, that amount drops down to around 100. This is after I put all the settings I know of from OBS to use up less resources. Setting the priority doesn't really make a difference and I think just keeping it on normal is the best choice. I don't have any frame drops at all in the stats dock and my graphics driver are at the latest version. My laptop is barebones since it's only used for recordings so it barely has any softwares in it, and there is no conflicting softwares that I know of.
I've used OBS a year ago due to the Roblox app no longer supporting my Bandicam hooking onto it in game mode. When I discovered Nvidia Shadowplay, I switched to that and it became my replacement until a few weeks from today when Roblox also no longer supports that anymore as well due to their security patches preventing recording softwares from being able hook onto it in game mode. When I used both Bandicam and Shadowplay, they never gave me any fps issues like OBS did and I put OBS in similar settings to those recorders. I play Roblox on much higher fps settings with these 2 recorders I've mentioned and recorded at 60 fps, no issues with fps lag. Before you ask, yes, I tried other games and the lag issue persists with OBS.
I just wanted to know if there is any way to solve this lag issue or if anyone knows more about it. Help is appreciated.

Random FPS drops
I wanted my recordings to have a consistent 60 fps. Sometimes I get smooth 60 fps but other times I get random drops that makes it look like 30-45 fps. I am new to OBS, but I've followed several tutorial videos and forum posts on removing choppy fps. I've tried everything that I know of, but...
