Question / Help Screen Capture Freeze

Hi!

A few months back I've been recording games with obs on my laptop. It worked perfectly. A few days ago I've formatted my pc and now It does not record. A second in to the game it completely freezes. What can I do?

Your hardware is not strong enough to record at the settings you're trying to use. Refer to https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ , change your preset to superfast or ultrafast, and then downscale your recording resolution until performance is acceptable.
