Hello, im trying to record a video but my recordings always look fuzzy. I have 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13500, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

So this image here Example1 Example 2 Is the quality im looking for when im recording. (the screenshot is in 1080p)
And this Example1 Example 2 is how the quality looks like.

Ive followed several tutorials but all of them lead to the same quality and i genuently dont know what it is thats causing this.

I want my quality to look exactly the same. I dont know what to do anymore so im just gonna ask for help.

Here are my OBS settings

From the screenshots you cant see much diffrence because the screenshot software downscaled the image a bit. But you can still see a bit diffrence. Its going ot be my wallpaper so I want it to be the same quality.

Thanks

Try these. If it's still fuzzy, there's most likely rendering lag or frame-rate/refresh issues or something else going on. Post the log from the test. CQ Level can be lowered for increased quality if desired. I use 15 for most recordings.

codec: H264
rate_control: CQP
cqp: 18
keyint: 2 Seconds
preset: p5
tuning: hq
multipass: qres
profile: high
width: 1920
height: 1080
b-frames: 0
b-ref-mode: 0
lookahead: false
aq: false

Aitum is stale, HAGS is enabled, monitor @ 165HZ should be 60 or 120HZ, encode settings have not been changed.

Disable these.

Whatever your guides told you, go to Tools > Auto Configuration wizard and optimize for recording. It will create a config for simple output mode with nvenc as encoder. Make sure Settings > Video the resolutions are still both 1920x1080. Go to Settings > Output and set "indistinguishable quality" as recording quality. You can again set hybrid mp4 file format, that's fine and not related to quality. That's it. If you still feel this is inferior quality, keep in mind there's always some quality loss with video encoding as long as it isn't lossless.

Here's another questionable plugin that should probably be eliminated. It's Beta, last update was July 2022...
