Recording latency with Scarlett 16i16 with bass guitar

Hey there, I'm trying to use OBS to record practice videos without having to play the background track through speakers, so I can record anytime of day or night. Has anyone run into the issue of playing an audio track (through desktop audio) and then say trying to record over it with a mic (I'm using a bass guitar) and had a delay between the audio track being played and the mic or other input. Whether I run the bass and the background track through the Scarlett (which is essentially an input device), or run the background track through the pc sound card and just the bass through the Scarlett (setting pc audio out to my sound card), the lag remains. I'm running Windows 11 with an onboard Realtek sound card on a Asus Dark Hero motherboard. Running the sound through external speakers and mic-ing it into the Scarlett works fine.

Any suggestions on how to configure OBS to eliminate the lag?
Thanks

here is the log file. I ran the report and disabled hardware accelerator GPU scheduler, no impact. Ran OBS as admin, also no impact.
