Question / Help Record Webcam Inset in Game Screen

I'm an extreme newbie, never used this kind of software before, but I'm trying to get across it for my daughter. She wants to record the game (probably Minecraft) as she plays it and also record her at the same time (via her webcam). Then the output would be her playing the game, with the recording of her inset in one corner.

I've no idea how hard or difficult this would be - can anybody point me to a simple guide on how to set it up?

The thing you want to do is simple and standard. OBS is the right tool for this.
You add a "game capture" source to your scene for capturing the game.
You add a "Video capture device" source to your scene for importing the webcam
You position and resize the webcam source to the corner in the OBS preview where you want it.
Find a streaming service where you will stream to and configure that in OBS.

To understand what I just wrote, you have to install and start up OBS yourself and play with it, then consult one or two of the tutorials I linked, then again play a bit more with OBS, and then you've probably done it.

By the way, from what you wrote, it seems your daughter may be somewhat young. Keep in mind that there are many really bad people around who will harass her and stalk her, if she is really young and looks good in her streams. Some will get ugly and disgusting. Watch over her and don't let your daughter go alone with her streams.
