Question / Help Problem with captura screen

Hello, I have installed obs on my laptop, I have ubuntu 17.10, opengl 3.0 and I have also installed FFmpeg. But when I select the source of "capture screen" it shows me the black screen. Thanks for the help!

Are you using wayland on that machine?

Afaik to be able to display capture on laptop you must use the onboard graphics but in orther to have good performance you would want to use the discrete graphics. So there is this tradeoff.

At least this is a common case for the black display capture

I could solve the problem, you just had to change the graphical server to xorg.

If that Ubuntu version has made the switch to GNOME already and you still want to stay on Wayland there is an experimental plugin for that:
