2. use window capture, select "PowerPoint Slide Show" on "Window" and select "Window 10 (1903 and up)" on "Capture Method"

Just for anyone who comes across this thread - the capture method can impact whether you see the cursor or not (some want such, others like me don't)
I use the Older Window Capture method (Win7 / BitBlt... iirc ... from memory) as that way I don't see the cursor in the capture [the other hide cursor methods don't work for me, for whatever reason] but someone else pointed out the using the old capture method to work around recent MS graphics sub-system changes... not idea if latest OS updates have 'fixed' the issue
