So, this is an idea I have been going over for a while now.
Basically, to help Jim, and the average user, I want to compile a database, which consists of basic info like GPU, CPU, RAM, and OBS settings, and the persons experience. This way, if someone asks hey, can I stream with my system, we have a better guide than the current estimator, and I think the estimator can be improved when using this data.
I think the format should be something like
Hardware config
CPU(Including Ghz and core count):
RAM:
GPU:
Operating system:
OBS config
Stream bit rate:
Streaming resolution(What you are actually sending to twitch):
Stream FPS:
X264 preset:
Custom X264 Commands:
Misc:
Are you streaming using OBS's game capture? If so, which game:
Are you using a capture card? If so, which one:
Have you had any issues with streaming so far(yes/no - explain):
I think establishing a baseline using this info would be easy enough, and the info is easy enough for anyone to read imo.
Thoughts?
