play back footage on mac is insanely laggy

so when ever i try to record a video on a game the game its self is extremley laggy and the play back footage is even more laggy and i have no idea what the problem is. i tried everything there is to get better footage and i cant find anything so i came on here to get help.

i increased the bit rate to 10000 but the thing is i can post a video in here because it wont let me but its even worse

Raising the bit rate is correct.
How hard is the game hitting your CPU?
Open the OBS Stats window and you'll get a lot of information as to where things are going wrong.
Try encoding in H264 or H265, move the encoding from CPU to GPU.
