Question / Help Performance drop while recording with OBS since the new update

Can I get help with this?
I record 1080p with 3000bitrate. Before I could go for 5000.

Specs are quite decent, r9 270x, 8gig ram, i5 proc, ssd for some games...

A lower bitrate requires more CPU power to encode, so what you say doesn't realy make sense.
I'd guess something else on your PC is using more CPU power than it used to.

Did you try with an older OBS version?

Before you start downgrading, could you show us a log file?

1080p may be a bit much for that CPU at veryfast preset depending on the game. Using the settings linked above you can safely switch to superfast or ultrafast to help with performance, though with larger file output as a result.

Guys.
It seems that i just had to set x264 cPU preset to ULTRAFAST rather than veryfast or w/e that happened there
I instantly had around 150 FPS WHILE RECORDING on ultra settings in Smite.

The settings Sapiens gave me kinda fucked it up so I just have to revert them.
