I have a big problem with my OBS. I'm not playing any game, i'm on desktop and when i click preview stream my PC crashes/freezes and i have to restart my computer. I haven't upgraded my computer recently and I have all my drivers updated. I was streaming and it was fine you can come to my channel and check my past broadcasts www.twitch.tv/derethic.

My Computer Specs :

Processor - AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W

Graphic Cards - NVIDIA Geforce GTS 250 1 GB 256 bits Bus Width

Installed Memory (RAM) - 8.00 GB DDR3 Memory

Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit Operating System

I've tried reinstalling OBS but the problem is still there. If any of you guys have any idea how to solve this feel free to post and try to help me.

Sorry not a fix - I just came here to say I'm having the same exact issue. Reinstalling has fixed it in the past, but not now. It only happens when I have 2+ sources while previewing the stream. If I'm previewing with just one source (whether it be just the webcam or just my game), there is no crashing,

I am using: (clearly not my gaming computer)
Windows 7 Professional, 32 bit
Intel Core i7-2620M processor @ 2.70 GHz
Intel HD graphics 3000
4096 GB RAM

That sounds like a general system stability issue, not a problem with OBS itself. Are you getting a BSOD?

This is not the issue you described in your thread. Please don't hijack other users' threads.

I can't post a log because i don't have one, the stream doesn't even turn on to create a log it just freezes my screen. I don't have any crash logs and can't create one.

Ok I've tried something : I deleted all my scenes and after that i added them one by one. I clicked preview stream and I've added my desktop(monitor capture) and my screen didn't freeze. After I've added my Sony Playstation Eye webcam, my computer crashed. I'm gonna reinstall my PS3 Eye webcam driver and will see if that solves the problem.

I've reinstalled my webcam driver and after that I didn't test it on the OBS program, but on the PS3 Eye driver program. I've opened it and the webcam screen was black. After 10 seconds, my screen froze and i had to restart my pc again. It seems like the webcam was the problem. Any ideas how can I fix this ?

Try 32bit and 64bit OBS. If this doesnt help, there is nothing that you can do in OBS. Change the driver, downgrade it to the last one that was working fine. You can also get XSplit and test your webcam with it to check what is the problem - OBS or the webcam driver.
Changing the USB-Port may help too, try it.

The PS3 webcam only has 32-bit drivers so he'll be limited to the 32-bit version of OBS if he wants to use it. No idea how to fix the webcam driver issue other than trying a different USB port though, that sounds like some type of system issue.

A friend of mine suggested that i should reinstall my windows. I did that, I've installed the webcam driver and guess what... the problem is still there... Whenever i turn my webcam on ( on the OBS or on the PS3 Eye Driver program ) my screen freezes ! This time I've heard a strange noise too. A really loud and unpleasant noise... the one that u usually hear when your computer crashes. So what should I do ? I'm out of ideas.

I've found the problem. I was using one USB 3.0 Slot... and since the webcam is pretty old it was obvious that it would crash my pc. Now i'm using one USB 2.0 Slot and I don't have problems anymore. Thank you for helping me.
