Question / Help OBS x TeamSpeak 3 Overlay fix not working

I recently switched to TeamSpeak 3, and whenever I try to stream with OBS, I get an error message that says my TeamSpeak overlay will conflict with OBS and cause instability/crashing. I did a quick Internet search and found the thread on this website explaining how to fix it by disallowing OBS to load the overlay (https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...ak-3-overlay-from-crashing-obs.522/#post-2988). However, OBS.EXE does not appear in the drop down list no matter what I do. I tried editing the TeamSpeak overlay plugin's INI file directly to accomplish what the fix was telling me to do, and while OBS.EXE finally appeared on the drop down list, and even told me that it wouldn't load the plugin (meaning everything should work properly), I'm still receiving the same error messages, and I'm still not able to stream.

Help?

I believe the issue is Overwolf, correct? If so, it's one of those good-idea-terrible-execution things; I'd strongly recommend uninstalling it, as it's been shown to cause severe game instability/crashing on a number of titles.

The forum post you linked is for the Teamspeak overlay plugin, which I believe has been split off into Overwolf. You'll need to set up the OBS exclusion there (or preferably just uninstall it). Can't help with that one as much though, as I made sure to punt it out the airlock at the earliest possible opportunity.

I did have Overwolf installed, and after uninstalling it, everything seems to be working. I'll report back if I run into any more issues, but thanks very much for your help! I probably wouldn't have ever figured out that Overwolf was causing the problem

Hmm, I'll look take a look into overwolf and see if it's still a compatibility issue with OBS. The old TS3 overlay definitely caused problems but overwolf I believe is a completely separate project.

Yeah, problem is that Overwolf is coded like crap. On my Community nights, you can always tell who didn't do a custom TS3 install and deselect OW, because they're the ones who crash out of the game multiple times per round. Payday 2, TF2, League of Legends... hell, even Burnout Paradise sometimes. It's just a POS. Good idea, bad execution.
