I'm having an issue where OBS won't select the same resolution that my computer is running at. I'm more just trying to see what my laptop is capable of, but what I've notice is OBS only captures an area of the screen that is about 3/4 of my screen. My desktop resolution is set to 1920x1080, and that is what the "Custom Resolution" is set to. But if I set it to Monitor 1, it's sets it to1536x864 and there's no option for selecting graphics adapter.
Now I am trying this out on a Dell Inspiron Laptop. It has an Intel i7-4510U with 8GB DDR3 and integrated Intel HD graphics. I know this isn't really ideal for streaming at all. My hope was to at some point connect the PC I play on to my Elgato Game Capture HD and record on my laptop. I first wanted to try running it without the Game Capture HD and record my desktop, just so I could analyze the logs to see what kind of bottle-neck it says I have. But for some reason, it isn't even capturing the entire display.
