For whatever reason OBS is unable to record when I run a game in fullscreen mode. I can change the game to windowed mode and it'll be able to record with no issue but once I switch it to fullscreen it goes from 40 fps to 1fpm. I thought it maybe had to do with my monitors resolution ( as the monitors resolution does not match the games resolution) So i changed the resolution to match that of the games resolution and even though the game takes up the same amount of screen space in fullscreen and windowed fullscreen just takes a performance dive.anyone know exactly why this maybe?
Edit: Okay now the roll has switched. I made no changes to OBS when I went to record in windowed mode but now it lags and fullscreen is somewhat okay. I have my mac bitrate at 21K. Buffer size at zero. Encoder on x264. Video at 1280 by 720. FPS at 40. Multi-thread Optimization on. Process priority class on High. Scene Buffering time on 700. x264 Preset to ultrafast. Encoding Profile on high. These are the settings I had when it wouldn't record in fullscreen now it will work in fullscreen but not windowed. I know I wanted it to get to Fullscreen but I want to be able to know why this is happening to better understand if something occurs to it in the future.
