Question / Help OBS stutter? Recording?

So my game stutters when recording in 1920 by 1080 but doesn't in 1280 by 720. I wonder why? I need help because playing in 1280 by 720 is annoying. Also there is no ingame lag. There's only lag on the actual finished recording. I'm talking about recording not streaming by the way.

Specs: i5 4430
gtx 750ti superclocked
12 gb of ram

btrate- 40000
buffer size- 40000

Lower your bitrate, that is overkill. Like, crazy high. You'll get a crisp output with only 5000, depending on certain settings.

Bit rate shouldn't affect CPU usage.
