I have an issue where i get video, but no audio... What are your Audio Settings?
I'm having the same issue. Analyzing the stream in vlc it appears there is no audio track being sent, only video.

OBS 29.1.3
obs-rtspserver v3.1.0-beta1

I'm having two issues.
1. Whenever I stop using the plugin, it continues to run in the background, I have to exit obs entirely and relaunch in order to make any changes.
2. Whenever I close OBS after using the plugin, it crashes.

anyone else having issues like this?

Was anyone with no Audio or no Video able to find a fix or workaround ?
With the simple Settings theres only Audio, with advanced Settings theres only Video.

I’ve read through this forum, trying to understand/get multicast to work. Is there a different multicast ip address that it uses?

Has anyone got this installed correctly on Mac? I have tried every version from 2.3.0 to 3.1.1 Beta1 for OBS 27 to 30 and have never successfully got the plugin to appear in the Tools menu!

...Also, I had version 3.0.0 working with OBS 29.1.3 on my PC. But after a OBS restart I could never get it working again. So after uninstalling OBS and then reinstalling OBS the RTSPServer installer now fails with a "failed to uninstall previous version" message.

I'm having an issue on mac, after install, go to the tools menu and the RTSP server option is not listed.

Installed on windows and i can see it there as expected. I see a few others with this same issue. But no resolution posted yet. THought i'd add my experience. Hope we can get this up and running.

I have installed the RTSP server plug in and it is available in the menu but when I click on start it says "Can't begin data capture." in the menu. I have a colleague who installed OBS from scratch and then the plugin and got exactly the same. Is there something that needs setting up in between installing the plug in and starting the server? I have tried using different port numbers but it has made no difference. This is a windows build that I am using.

It looks like this plugin is in desperate need of some attention from the developer - especially on MacOS. The latest versions of the plugin, including beta, don't show up in the OBS Studio's Tools menu (v30/v29.1.3) on Apple-Silicon based Macs (m1 etc) and a "can't begin data capture" error occurs on Intel based Macs. It's a shame to see such a wonderfully useful plugin be neglected.

Dear Scot Xu, if you're reading this, it's our wish that you have an opportunity to put some quality time into getting your plugin back into stable working shape with all the current bugs worked out.

Warm regards.

How does this work ? I have a PC with this plug-in installed: I start it (default option) and I want to send the obs output to a second pc in the LAN (used only to stream): what else should I have to do - or configure - (on the 2 PCs) , after starting the plug-in on the first one (to receive the output on the second one) ?
I believe in the receiving computer you add a media source and uncheck local file. Instead you type in rtsp://sendingcomputerip/whateveryouputin thenextbox and you should be able to see it.

I'm curious what the multicast option does. Is there some documentation on that? Is it more efficient over a Ian going to multiple receiving computers? I'm trying to broadcast a our morning announcements to teacher laptops where they will be receiving the feed using VLC. I'm curious if this option saves bandwidth or is more efficient? When I enabled it I couldn't see the feed in VLC. As soon as I turned it off it worked fine. I'm just not sure if our network can handle 40 computers watching it simultaneously.
