OBS randomly crashes with "Fault address: 7FFEB7AC8A4C (c:\windows\system32\mmdevapi.dll)" [crash log included]

Hello, I've recently experienced several crashes. They seem to happen at random times, whether I'm streaming or not, which makes it difficult to debug.

The issue looks like it is happening in "c:\windows\system32\mmdevapi.dll" as can be seen in the crash logs below.

Running OBS Studio as administrator did not fix the issue.

As far as I can tell, the issue appeared after installing those two plugins:

Ideally, I'd like to be able to keep them as they made my life a lot easier otherwise.

After some research and asking on the OBS Discord, it seems that the issue was caused by my version of Windows 10 being incompatible with the win-audio-capture plugin. Updating to Windows 10 version 21H2 looks like it may have fixed the issue.

I'm having the same problem!

I don't know if sableraph is also having problems with OBS freezing when Exiting, but it does this quite often for me.

Actually the removal of the plugins did not stop the problem. I had to roll back OBS to 27.1.3 to get a stable version that will not crash every time I have it on. This cost me a stream and a possible sponsorship opportunity. So I'm not happy.
