So I've had obs for a while now and I just recently got a new set up, from my old windows laptop to a desktop. My monitor is a bit of a strange size, 1080x1024, and I think that's the reason why obs studio will only record in 240p so I need assistance on if there's any way to record on at least 720p because I've tried changing my videos setting to 1920x1080 but it was still really pixelated. I haven't been able to post on my youtube channel because I don't want to upload such low-quality videos because it's like if everyone had bad vision and it quite annoying. First change monitor with higher resolution.
Second change scaling, now you have 424x340 but base resolution is 1280x1024 (4:3 aspect ratio, now we use 16:9 format).

I was able to change the recording to record in 1080p but I'm unable to get it to be fullscreen or it would be really stretched out. I tried changing my monitor to 1920x1080 but in Nvidia control panel said "custom resolution 1920x1080 is not supported by your display." I also tried changing it in windows setting but the highest resolution that showed is the resolution that I currently have do you know if there's a way to get around this?

Display has number of the supported resolutions. The highest one - the one you have selected in the Windows. For your display device it is 1280x1024 (5:4).
The 1920x1080 has aspect ratio 16:9. So, the closes (lower) resolution you'll be able to set for the display device is 1280x720 (16:9).
The 1280x720 on 1280x1024 display device will be drawn with the black borders on top and bottom. Nothing you can do about this.
Either run your games at 1280x720 and set OBS to 1280x720 (both Base and Output resolution in the Settings>Video of the OBS) or forget about recording.
