OBS Induces Encoding Overload While no issue Nvidia ShadowPlay with the same settings in 4K HDR

As well for Audio, the sample rate and audio frequency refresh rate are set over the playing and recording frequency to be at the max quality and be sure to get the max audio quality even if it s an imperceptible effect but still.

What??

HDR adds more load to the encoder than SDR. I was just showing you that 2160 @ 60FPS is a no good.

Stop comparing OBS to Shadowplay. You're comparing apples to oranges.
You don t want to compare ShadowPlay with OBS but Apparently even if 2160p @ 60 FPS is a no good because HDR adds more load than SDR thing that I was aware of , BUT ShadowPlay can do this job whil OBS cannot for the time being.

OK trying with these settings and sending you the Log.

A lot less lags and gameplay slowering issues but infinite "Stopping Recording"....
Waiting it to stop the recording or Ending the process and sending you the Log ?

Getting closer.

Some encoder overload, try Preset P4. Keep an eye on the GPU in Task Manager. I like to keep the encoder below 70% utilized so there's plenty of headroom.

OK I ll try with P4.
After the infinite "Stopping Recording", Impossible to stop the Recording I ve Ended the process. Here the Log

Yeah, process needs to be killed manually when the recording doesn't stop.

There are charts in this article that show quality/throughput for the new presets compared to the old. I also included a link to the Preset migration guide.

70% ? Strange because I have 25 % Idle and issues while recording ?

I don't think you will need to go to P3 but if you're still getting some encoding lag after the P4 test, record to the NVMe.

Wrong view in Task Manger

Task Manger > Performance Tab > Change Graph To Multiple Engines

OK for the preset but what these tables in the link are really showing ?
Here s the Ressources Tabs in the Task Manager. Still 25%.

From your last log, the CBR recording:
22:45:45.421: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 255 (1.1%)
22:45:45.422: ==== Recording Stop ================================================
22:45:45.422: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 1572/22654 (6.9%)

The CQP recording:
00:37:14.709: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 768 (0.8%)
00:37:14.709: [ffmpeg muxer: 'adv_file_output'] os_process_pipe_write for info structure failed
00:37:14.716: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 2112/54771 (3.9%)

Lagged frame percentage is going in the right direction. But, now it's right in the range where you could be getting lag from the rust drive not being able to write the data fast enough.

Correct view for Task Manger, what's up with your HD's are you using RAID?

OK it s just the relative correllation and corresponding preset compared to the old encoding preset but do not give recommended preset according to specific GPU architectures (Turing, Pascal, Lovelace).

OK don t want to be insistant but ShadowPlay can record no issue on the HDD 7200 RPM Seagate Barracuda.
I m not using RAID Architecture, these are Physical : 1x Seagate FireCuda 510 SSD NVMe 1 TB + 3x 8 TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM HDD + 1x 4 TB M3 USB External Seagate Maxtor HDD.

Use ShadowPlay if you don't want to take the time to test & get it to run correctly.

aaaaa OK Because of the letter : Because on these 5 Drives I Have Partitions too !
Don t worry no issues about that !
All aware of it and it s normal, I have at least 2 Partitions on Each drive.
