Heya, no worries at all I'm happy to help.
You'll need to download the zip file from here. Once you've got that, close obs, and extract (copy paste) the zip files contents into the obs-studio folder.
Mine was located here "C:\Program Files\obs-studio\" bit it could vary depending if you're using the portable version.
Once that's done you can open up obs again and you should be able to see a new menu item under "Tools > OBS Hadowplay Settings" from here you can customise the settings and it should start working.

Hey I got a question about the desktop notification. How does it work? I see the toggle switch that u added in the settings of the plugin but when I save a clip I only hear the sound. Is there a way to choose how this would look like? For example uploading a png?
Also is the notification sound also customizable within the plugin files?
Great plugin, I'm loving it way more than shadowplay and have been using it for quite some time now.

Heya, glad to hear it's been working for you .
As for the notifications, they're pretty bare bones, taking advantage of an already existing system that is part of Qt (the UI framework used) to show a default desktop notification, they're not customisable within the plugin. You mentioned adding a PNG, do you mean for the clip?
The sound however can be swapped out for another if you navigate into your obs-studio install folder, data/obs-plugins/obs-hadowplay and replace the notification.wav with the sound you'd like. (Named the same)

Ah thanks for the explanation!
Regarding the 'png' I mentioned, I was thinking with desktop notification that you meant like how in shadowplay you have that "clip saved" notification flying in. But now I realise you probably meant like a windows notification on the bottomright? I got those turned off so maybe thats why I didn't see them.
Anyway its working great. Only sometimes in a game I have to repress my buttons a few times to make a clip but that could probably be on my end!

Yeah I think I know what you mean about needing to press the button a few times. I'm pretty sure what's happening is that the replay is being saved but I can only listen to when it's done saving not started. which can take a few seconds some times.
There's a request to put in a new event for when the replay has started to save which I'll swap over to when it's available.
