Hi everyone im trying to get back into streaming, so i upgrade my GPU (3060ti), but now i have a problem with obs and league of legends...
So i run obs as administrator and then i run league of legends, there is no problem with the lobby, but whenever i start to play a game my obs freeze, the game keep running like always... V-sync activated, i have a 144hz monitor, and the cpu is old but good enough to stream 1080 or at least 720...
After i start playing the game, i can't even move the obs window because it freezes automatically, but the stream keep running perfectly... the thing is that i can't see anything in the obs window.. i don't really know what the problem is, so i hope u guys can help me to figure it out, Thanks

This is the log that i get last time i tried to stream league..

The issue is likely due to GPU overload. Since you're running OBS as administrator, it might be prioritizing resources differently. Try these steps:

  1. Disable "Run as Administrator" for OBS and League of Legends.
  2. Cap League of Legends FPS to 60 or 120 in-game to reduce GPU load.
  3. In OBS, go to Settings > Output and set the encoder to NVENC (new) if it isn’t already.
  4. Lower OBS canvas/output resolution to 720p if you’re streaming at 1080p.
This should help balance the load on your GPU. Let me know if it works!

A little late to add my input, but what worked for me was ensuring league was captured as a "window" as setting it to "game capture" was causing the freezing while hovering over the league of legends application. Also, ensure that your "capture method" is set to Windows 10 (1903 and up) instead of automatic, this way it actually captures the game. You will have a yellow hue outlining your application in game, but it won't show up while streaming/recording. This is just to highlight the window that is being captured. I'll keep an eye on this forum in case anyone else has future problems.
