Bug Report OBS/Elgato Problem

Everytime I go to stream I always have the Elgato disconnect randomly. When I record regularly with the Elgato game capture software, it never disconnects. What is happening and how do I fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated so thank you in advance.

It's my Elgato that disconnects from OBS, or I guess my computer. I think it is OBS that is the problem, though. Like I said, it's fine when I have it connected and am running the Elgato software, but when I'm even previewing in OBS, it disconnects randomly.

I don't know if this is what you need, and I'm not sure if this is a time when it disconnected. It was the latest log that I had.

Could you be more specific about what exactly it is that happens when this occurs?

A couple of suggestions:

1) Make sure the Elgato is listed as a Global source. Sometimes programs like skype like to try and steal priority, because they're rude.
2) If you're using a USB hub, Bypass it and plug it directly into a USB port on the motherboard itself.
3) Try giving the ol' restart to the Elgato, and unplug and replug in the USB cable as well.
