If you're overclocking, your PC isn't stable. Otherwise you have faulty hardware.

Not over clocking at all. I managed to have it running fine with a different version.
I switched versions to use CLR. I can just run a window capture, so it's not big a deal.

but maybe that has a say?

The OBS_0_657b_Installer works fine.
Installing the Obs_0_657b_With_Browser_Installer causes this crash to happen whenever I hit preview.

Anyway, can you by any chance tell which part of the hardware is faulty if that is the case?

Likely the RAM. The .dmp file may be useful to confirm. x264 crashes should basically never happen.

Roger.. But it's still only with the CLR version of the program.
I tried both again.
