Could you post a log of this? I did change one thing with mobile GPU usage. and that was the ability to select the GPU in video settings (and actually have it work). Could you try it with the other GPU there? If it was on nvidia, try intel, or vise versa.

Your video driver reported an internal error. Please check for possible hardware / driver issues. This error can also occur if you have enabled opencl in x264 custom settings.

Oddly enough It shows two Adapters (GPU)
But i can only select NVIDIA in settings

It'll say nvidia for both in the settings, but if you select the top item it'll switch back to the intel (unless you have it forced in nvidia control panel). It will only activate the new code if you have the second adapter selected in OBS' video settings. However, if you select the first adapter, it should be fine and work as it used to.

If you get the message:
21:10:12: Nvidia optimus detected, second adapter selected, enabling optimus hint and switching to adapter 1
It means that you have the second adapter selected in the video adapter drop down in video settings. Try selecting the top adapter.

Please give me a log from where you attempted it with the top adapter, if you could. If this was due to my new mobile detection code I'll have to fix it, so I need help with this.

not even sure how its getting adapter 1 (ie. The Intergrated Intel HD 4600)
when I click Video Adapter in Settings Its Only showing me NVdia GeForce GTX 770M
(see photo for reference)

Alternatively When I turned off (Disabled) the Intel HD 4600 From Device Manager>Display Adapters, I could stream without crashing But had MASSIVE FPS Loss (I usually play at 150 - 120 FPS .... this time i was at 5FPS!!), In Game Lag & Stuttering, basically the game became unplayable.
Now that may have had something to do with the fact that I can only get Window Capt to work, Game Capt is just a black Screen (audio is fine).

From the Nvidia Control Panel I made sure It was choosing the Dedicated GPU and not the Integrated one.

Forgive my earlier outburst, I am still a PC Gaming Scrub and wanted nothing more than to start streaming my games, I appreciate your help and patience.

So instead of making a new Thread i just wanted to mention that i have the exact same problem ):
I can stream without problems, then suddenly it starts lagging and i get the same error.

I also have the same Intel GPU and the nvidia geforce 750M for me ;/

edit: so i looked up other threads, im only using game capture now and that works for me o: if anyone else wants a temporary solution

Please try to avoid Monitor Capture on laptops with Windows 8 that have NVIDIA GPUs. There are known issues with them at the moment that seem to be a problem with the GPU drivers. Use Game Capture instead.

You get Blackscreen if you use fullscreen. Try windowed mode, or windowed borderless. If you are already using it then idk :x

I have the same issue "I think". I get the whole "OpenCL" error.

However, My GPU is quite dated, GTX 285.

Could that be my issue? Get some cash and get a better GPU?

I'd like to add too that I am having the exact same problem as the OP. And my hardware specs are very similar:

  • * Windows 8.1
    * Intel i7 4700MQ
    * Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M (updated to latest WHQL drivers available from Nvidia's site)
    * 8 GB RAM
    * Wacom Cintiq 12WX

I stream my artwork I do on my graphics tablet, and the only way to do this is by using Monitor Capture with my tablet's screen (Game Capture will simply result in a black screen). It works for roughly 15 minutes and then the stream freezes with the same error:

I was having this issue when using dual monitors, when my extra monitor was on my internal Intel iGPU, and my main game being recorded/streamed was on my dedicated card (AMD HD7990). I only ever got this error when the program itself was moved to the 2nd monitor, but when it was on the main screen everything ran fine. So, if you're like me and using two monitors, the solution is to put OBS on the main monitor. EZPZ

For reference, I'm using the 2nd monitor on the iGPU to read chat and monitor performance etc. I wasn't concerned about leaving OBS on the main screen under my game. I'm also using the AMD card for the encoding (because with that much muscle why the hell not) so the iGPU isn't doing anything else at all.
