Question / Help Not detecting a video adapter.

I am trying to stream xbox 360 gameplay with an legato capture card. The obs software does not seem to pick up a video adapter in the settings. In my control panel, my display adapter is Intel HD Graphics Famiy ( probably an intergrated graphics card ). Is there anyway I can still stream via my capture card, or change it to a dedicated graphics card?

That's the adapter used for rendering. Add your elgato as a source.

when I use the Game capture source, the screen is black. It seems that I need a video adapter ( in video settings ) selected.

The elgato is a capture device, not a game so you'll need to add it as a video capture device, not game capture.

When I use the video capture device source, the screen continues to be black. My friend uses obs to stream, he told me how to set it up and everything is correct, I continue to get a black screen. In the video settings, the video adapter drop box is white instead of showing my GPU ( Intel HD Graphics Family ).

Do I have to have a selected Video Adapter to stream via a external capture card ( Elgato ) ?
